Security officers must often confront and handle individuals who are frustrated or potentially dangerous. Security officers must be aware of the characteristics of difficult people in order to identify these individuals and resolve their situations accordingly. Although these situations are difficult and the individuals involved are being unreasonable or violent, security officers must maintain control and remain professional in order to manage the situation. Once these individuals are identified as being difficult to handle, security officers can follow various tips that will help them change the challenging demeanor of difficult individuals. This course is designed to guide security officers in recognizing the various steps that will allow them to properly diffuse a situation that involves difficult people while maintaining a safe environment for others.
